How to measure the content of Fe in CaBaSi Cored Wire

In recent years, ladle feeding CaBaSi Cored Wire is an out-of-furnace refining method, which is widely used in modern steel-making industry.However, this kind of out-of-furnace refining technology has a very strict requirement on the content of iron in the CaBaSi Cored Wire, so it is very important to effectively measure the content of iron in the CaBaSi Cored Wire.

To measure the Fe content in the CaBaSi Cored Wire, first we need to dissolve the calcium particles in the sample with dilute acetic acid, and then use hydrochloric acid to dissolve the Fe element in the CaBaSi Cored Wire. In the hot hydrochloric acid medium, use SnCl2 reduces most of the Fe3+ to Fe2. When TiCl3 is used to quantitatively reduce the remaining Fe3+, sodium tungstate is used as an indicator to indicate the end of reduction. With sodium diphenylamine sulfonate as indicator, the content of Fe in CaBaSi Cored Wire was titrated with potassium dichromate standard solution in the presence of sulfur-phosphorus mixed acid
